As a hinge system for commercial and residential doors, VARIANT offers the optimum solution for every architectural context. Thanks to high-quality technology in aesthetically convincing designs, VARIANT withstands high loads and impresses with different knuckle diameters and lengths as well as a wide variety of finishes. In addition, the knuckle hinge offers a range of special solutions for special requirements. 

About VARIANT

Design meets function

The VARIANT series can be used for doors and frames made out of steel, stainless steel, aluminum and/or wood. SIMONSWERK offers two series for different applications. For new hollow metal frame installations, the VARIANT VX series is recommended to be used in combination with wood or hollow metal doors. For renovation with new wood doors and already installed frames (hollow metal or wood), the VARIANT Compact series is recommended.

Fields of applications

Versatile application

The hinge technology of the product brand VARIANT is characterised by its maintenance-free slide bearing technology, different knuckle diameters and knuckle lengths as well as a wide variety of finish treatments and finish looks. As an attractive component, the knuckle hinges can be perfectly integrated into the respective architecture. The maintenance-free slide bearing technology is particularly useful for heavy-duty and heavily frequented commercial doors.
