Product certifications
The majority of SIMONSWERK products are not defined by BHMA standards because there are no standards for concealed or adjustable hinge systems. Therefore, SIMONSWERK contracted a third-party company, Intertek, to perform testing in accordance with ANSI/BHMA A156.1-2016, American Standards for Butts and Hinges. Although the standard defines a specific product design which does not include SIMONSWERK innovative adjustable hinge products, SIMONSWERK took extra steps to offer assurance for the performance of these products.
The following evaluation in the test report show performance compliance such as Friction test, Cycle test, Vertical and lateral wear, and Overload test.
Building codes rely on fire and smoke protection features to protect the public. These features can be found within building components such as walls and doors in order to limit the spread of fire and smoke. UL certifies a wide range of components including door hardware. Many SIMONSWERK products are UL Listed for fire and smoke protection applications.
Company certifications
ISO 9001 is the international standard that specifies standards for a Quality Management System (QMS). This Quality Management System is a standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer regulatory requirements.
SIMONSWERK introduced this Quality Management System and is audited regularily by TÜV Nord.
